Sugar Pine Trail - Strawberry Branch
The Sugar Pine Trail - Strawberry Branch hiking trail begins in Strawberry (across from the Tri-Dam Project offices
on Old Strawberry Road) and ends at Fraser Flat. The trail
is marked with ribbons and it is mostly flat. It used to be a railroad right-of-way
for the Sugarpine Railroad which harvested trees in the Strawberry area many years ago.
Mr. Hank Watty took on the project many years ago to clear the right-of-way of debris, trees,
and shrubs so that it could be passable by hikers. Many people today enjoy this easily accessible trail.
